Jameson Distillery Bow St. in Dublin’s Smithfield is the historic home of Jameson Irish Whiskey, founded in 1780. Though production moved to Cork in 1971, the original site is now a lively visitor experience offering guided tours, whiskey tastings, blending workshops, and a cozy bar—celebrating centuries of Irish whiskey heritage.

The Book of Kells - a 1,200 year old manuscript of the four gospels - was elaborately inked and meticulously illustrated by faithful monks. Arguably the finest piece of art from the Middle Ages, the book of Kells shows that monastic life in this far fringe of Europe was far from dark. Cost and Hours: €16, €27 includes Trinity campus tour. Buy timed-entry ticket online in advance. Mon-Sat 8:30-17:00 (5:00pm)

Blarney Castle & Gardens

Visit the castle and kiss the Blarney Stone....supposedly grants all of those who kiss it the gift of gab! From Dublin, you'll need to drive 3 hours. You can also take a train or a bus to Cork, and from Cork City Centre take the bus 215 to Blarney.
